This page describes the types of wine used in Vinismo.
Classification of wine types can be very complex if all national or regional terminologies are taken into account. In Vinismo, we try to avoid this kind of complexity.
We propose using the following wine types, even if they don't always match the terminology used by local wine producers.
For example, a "vin de paille" of Jura, a "vendange tardive" of Alsace or a "golden white" of Sauternes all fall in the same category of "liqueur wines", since they all follow more or less the same vinification process and offer the same range of sensations for the drinker, and are opened for the same kind of occasions.
This classification is a work-in-progress; feel free to suggest changes and improvements in the Talk page of this article.
