Vinismo is a project to create a free, complete, up-to-date, and reliable guide of all wines in the world. It is built in collaboration by wine lovers around the globe.
It was started in April 2007 by Evan and Niko, simultaneously in English and French.
Vinismo is built with the spirit of sharing knowledge. We want to make it easy to share your knowledge and let others share it; our Copyleft license means that the facts you know can spread far and wide.
Vinismo is driven by a technology called Wiki, the same used by the popular Wikipedia encylopedia. It lets any Internet reader create, update, edit, and illustrate any article on our Web site. We all share our pieces of knowledge, edit them, distill them, and assemble them into a pleasing and cohesive whole. The more people that use the Edit link, the better Vinismo becomes.
