San Francisco Bay is an official AVA appellation in California, United States.
The San Francisco Bay viticultural area is located mainly within five counties which border the San Francisco Bay and partly within two other counties in the State of California. These counties are: San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Alameda, Contra Costa, and partly in Santa Cruz and San Benito Counties. The Santa Cruz Mountains viticultural area is excluded.
Area: 1,566,713.00 acres / 634,026.26 hectares.
