Rhône Valley (French: Vallée du Rhône) is a wine region of France.

Winegrowing was brought in this region by the Greeks before 400 B.C. and further developed after the Roman conquest. It almost disappeared during the Barbarian invasions in the first millenium, surviving only thanks to local monasteries.

A continental climate covers the northern part of the region, with hot, sunny summers and cold winters. Vineyards grown in the Southern parts of the region enjoy the influence of the Mediterranean see, with relatively warm and sunny winters.
