Reims Mountain (French: Montagne de Reims) is a sub-zone of Champagne, in France.
This zone surrounds the French city of Reims in a circle of rougly 40 km in diameter. The mountain itself hardly deserves its name - it tops at an altitude of 283 meters. However, its gentle slopes made of chalky soils offer optimal conditions for growing Champagne wines.
Reims Mountain is not only famous for its fine Champagnes, but also for its landscapes and little towns, among the most beautiful in the region.
Most grapes grown here are Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier or Chardonnay.
