Palmara Vineyard is a very small family owned and operated wine producer in the Coal River Valley region of Tasmania.
Producing only about 250 cases total, all wine is sold via cellar door (tastings) and mail/phone/internet.
All wines are made and bottled on site, the policy is to make only premium quality cool climate wines for direct sales.
- Varieties: Pinot Noir, Cabernet sauvignon, Chardonnay (unwooded), Seigerrebe ("Exotica", and white blend (Montage)

Established since 1984, the vineyard was set up from scratch by owners Allan Bird and family, using selected clones of well known cool climate varieties.

Open 7 days from mid September to mid May, 12.00 to 6pm approx.
Visitors are welcome to the cellar door intimate tasting room and may try the currend releases free if buying, or a small voluntary fee may apply otherwise. Winemaker Allan Bird is always in attendance.
