Nebbiolo is a red wine grape grown mostly in the Piedmont region of Italy.

Nebbiolo wines can be very different depending on the wine maker's choices. The traditional method of long maturation in big botti results in an easily distinguishable earthy, tannic wine suitable for decades of cellaring. Typically a Nebbiolo wine has aromas of roses, violets and cherries.

Although in recent years there have been attempts to cultivate the grape elsewhere as well, its habitat is classically the Piedmont. In the Langhe hills it is used to make the highly regarded Barolo and Barbaresco. Other DOCG regions using the grape are Gattinara and Ghemme, and it also forms the core of several Piedmontese DOCs.
Outside of Piedmont, Nebbiolo is used in Lombardy for Valtellina rosso and Valtellina superiore. It has been experimented with in California and Australia with some success.
