Gaillac is an official AOC appellation of Southwestern France.

Its vineyards lay on both banks of Tarn river, 50 km East of the city of Toulouse. Annual production is approx. 20 million liters, half of which is red wine.

Grapes used to make Gaillac are mostly Mauzac, Len de l'El and Sauvignon for white wines, and Braucol, Duras, Syrah and Gamay for red wines.
