Denominación de Origen or DO is a Spanish appellation system similar to the French AOC and the Italian DOC.

Spanish wine bottles from a DO controlled appellation must bear the official stamp from their local certification authority, such as in the examples below:

DO appellations are regulated by the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA - Ministerio de Agricultura, Pesca y Alimentación).
