This is a dry style Rose, made from Sangiovese fruit hand-picked in the Hunter Valley, in Australia. The wine was made by Jim Chatto.
edit Tasting
The Rose was bottled early to retain the freshness and crispness of the Sangiovese varietal. The bouquet displays lifted aromas of red summer berries and an intiguing spicy lift. The palate is fresh and lively adding a subtle sweet berry flavour and rounding off with a soft fruity smooth finish.
edit Serving
The wine should be served chilled, however not icey as it has so much flavour to boast.
Recommended on it's own or with a hot and spicy meal.
edit Production
Grapes are mainly sangiovese with 15% Shiraz fruit. All grapes were hand-picked.
