France : Loire Valley : Chinon : 2003 Alain Lorieux Chinon
Versatile at its best, this Cabernet Franc is pretty much suited for all seasons and types of meals.
edit Tasting
Like elsewhere in France, 2003 was definitely a good vintage. This wine is no exception.
Dense and crunchy, peppery and bitter, however with bright fruity notes at the start. Cabernet Franc at its best!
edit Serving
Better served cool (10-12°C). Excellent for any French cuisine, especially poultry.
This wine can be served right now at cool temperature, or cellared for 5-7 years and served at room temperature (18-19°C).

- "Those who believe cabernet franc cannot produce great wine should decant a bottle of this. [...] Bordeaux lovers take note: this is really good." --Bill Zacharkiw
